Telehealth
All of our face-to-face locations are equipped to allow for telehealth specialist consultation services. Some appointments with our mental health care team may also be available via telehealth
Community
Connection to local support services, regular progress reviews and feedback, ongoing collaborative care coordination
Who can make a referral?
We welcome referrals from GP’s, service providers, support services, family,
friends, or self-referrals, with the person’s consent.

Clinical referrals – It is essential for clinical referrers to accurately complete the ROMHS referral template, IAR + K10 assessment, and are sent to the ROMHS intake email or fax
for triaging by our mental health team.
It is preferable that all clients have a current Mental Health Care Plan, but initially it is not necessary, we can assist them in obtaining this from their regular GP.

Individual supportive focus
Our service uses a caring, collaborative approach and offer a variety of flexible supportive interventions based on individual needs, preferences, and ability.
Face-to-face Appointments
The Rural Outreach Mental Health Service provides face to face consultations across four locations throughout the Shoalhaven, and are via referral and appointment only.
We understand that accessible mental health and wellbeing care can be challenging, some appointments with our mental health team may also be provided via telehealth,
upon referral and triage we can discuss suitable options to individual circumstances.

Urgent ROMHS Announcement 2025
Dear Referrer,
We would like to inform you that the Rural Outreach Mental Health Service (ROMHS) has ceased services on 31st October 2025 and are now providing support under the MyRecovery program in partnership with Grand Pacific Health.
MyRecovery remains funded by COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN. This transition has enabled us to expand and strengthen the support we provided across the whole South Eastern New South Wales region, with the introduction of Counsellors, Psychologists, Social Workers and Peer Support Workers, alongside our existing clinical Mental Health Nursing team.
